A fantastic weekend of music in Banff, Scotland

Take a beautiful coastal setting, mix with a generous helping of the world's greatest music and serve on a bed of glorious architecture et voila! You have the perfect weekend. The main course on the menu is Sona Coated - an innovative pairing of clarinet and percussion premiering a new work with orchestra by Steve King.
You can hear them with the Deveron Festival Orchestra under the baton of Gareth John in a seafaring programme which will include Mendelssohn's Fingal's Cave and Handel's Water Music. For an appetiser we can
offer the glorious music of Brahms for clarinet and piano (Joanna Nicolson and Graeme McNaught) and to round things off, a generous helping of Cabaret from the acclaimed Haddo Youth Theatre. Together with many fringe events throughout the weekend, they make a wonderful feast of performances.
